This is a hand cut and paste collage. The background is a scrap of a water-colored leaf print. The three figures are from a rubber stamp from Teesha Moore. The text is from a romance novel-I got one at our public library's book sale some time back- it's proven to be a great resource for titles and themes. I have no idea what the story was about as I have just opened randomly and cut out a line.
It is VERY GOOD! I like this one a lot! I love knowing the sources of images and ideas. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Creative weekend!
Loved your comment, today, on Seth's blog about artistic dry spells, and creative blocks passing. How true that is! The negativity one may feel about their own art one day, may easily be gone the next. I think the lesson, here, is: don't spend to much time worrying about these negative aspects of the creative process. They REALLY don't matter, much!
ReplyDeleteLove the composition even if it is random for you. I am sure I could come up with a story for it. The boy is a student of science....... The colors are not random and really tie the piece together. It kind of reminds of the boy in The Selected Works of T.S.Spivet by Reif Larsen. I am calmed by this piece. Congratulations on being featured on the Pulse.
ReplyDeleteThere's a story here and I'm tempted to write it.
