This hand cut and paste collage is titled: Art Education. The text parts are from an old art education textbook. You can read it if you click on the image to make it larger. I made this one a while back but still like it a lot. The photographic imagery is my own- the dishes are from a photo shoot I did at a junk shop. The buttons I spread out on the scanner and then altered that scan. The background is acrylic paint and the blue face is a rubber stamp.
This has a fun vintage feel I like a lot!
ReplyDeleteI love the movement in this piece. Not only is there movement within each curved piece, but there is movement either clockwise or counterclockwise for the entire piece. The pen directs the eye across the page as well. I love the idea that you photographed in a junk store and that you manipulated the button scan.
ReplyDeleteI was very drawn to this collage - the eclectic collection of images against the background are quite intriguing - I could live with this on my wall very easily!
