Next set of 5 collages

Here are five more small collages from that series. As I mentioned earlier- I do like working small sometimes.  I am also including  a picture of nine ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) I made these last month- I wasn't able to go to the collage group meet up last month so I will take these for the march meet up for trading. ATCs are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". They were fun to do- I used some rubber stamps in a couple of these- I had not used those in years.

I will sometimes use an image more than one- often changing up the size.

Here you  see the guy in the tan coat again.

Title: The Bowen brothers knew people stared.

Clark was troubled by Eric's letter.

Leo loved his pet bird.

Caleb was always hopeful.

Francis dreamed of being a dancer.

Five more 4" x 6" collages

Here are five more collages in this series. I enjoyed working in this size. I also like to do artist trading cards and those are only 2 1/2" x 3 1/2 inches. Anyway I had fun and it was good to use the actual gel plate prints for the backgrounds. Thanks for taking a look.

Hayden had a visitor

Lars wanted to fly far far away.

Richard knew it was time to leave.

Marcus couldn't stop thinking of Ben.

Robert was confused by Jack's words.

New project

Thank you for the comments on my Februllage collages-  I know some of you have not been able to leave a comment on the blog here but you have on the facebook post about the blog. I have looked and can't figure out why some people can and others can't comment.

I am doing a book collaboration with one of the small art groups I am in. There are 5 people doing this- we are to make 4 small collages for each person. Mine are near 4" x 6". So I made my 20. These are all done on actual gel plate prints not scans of them. All the collages are hand cut and glued.( analog) I had fun doing these. I am ahead of the game as these are not due until early May. Hope you enjoy. Here are the first 5 collages.  Instagram doesn't like rectangles all that much do I put the collages on colored backgrounds- I like the way they look with those so that is how I am posting these.

Phillip & George

Bart loved his birds.

The gift of a happy home.

Nate was known as the love Bandit.

Blake looked out for his neighborhood.

The last group of Februllage collages.

Well here are the rest of the Februllage collages. Thank you for your kind comments. I really did enjoy that challenge. Starting to feel spring like here in New Mexico- good thing cause our furnace stopped working so we are dealing with that-  Here they are:

Prompt #22 is wings.
Last year I made a series of articulated paper dolls- I recreated them digitally for this prompt.

This is the second wing collage.

This is the third wing collage.

Prompt #23 is Journey. This is digital. Here is the quote that goes with this.

Everyone comes with baggage.

Find someone who loves you enough

to help you unpack.

I am so fortunate to have my dear husband.

Prompt #24 is Me.

I digitally created this self portrait.

Prompt #25 is geometric.

The figures here are of me- at 4 years old.

 Prompt #26 is Listen.

This is a digital analog combination. I found the vintage ear illustrations and printed them on top of

the colored background. I found the image of the man and altered him and cut it out and glued it to the

background.

Prompt # 27 is sunflower.

This also is a combination digital and analog collage.

I loved the movie Everything is Illuminated and loved Elijah Wood in it. The movie came out

in 2005 and the visuals are terrific- there is a scene of a house in this field of sunflowers

that is burned into my memory.

Prompt #28 is Future.

This is all analog. The background is citrisolv paper.

The figure has a Magritte feel about it.  My friend Matt French loved

Magritte. So this is for him and a nice way to end the challenge.

The next seven Februllage Prompt collages

Here are the next group of Februllage Prompt collages.  Thank you for your comments on the other posts. In this group there are more analog collages.

Prompt # 15 is boat. this one  is a combination of digital and analog.

I like the letters in the water. I cut slits in the water to put them in.

Adrift on the Sea of Love.

Prompt #16 is Frankenstein. I decided to make 2 articulated dolls for this one.

I put the dolls on altered photos of mine to photograph them. This was fun.

Prompt #17 is Weep. I did two for this one as well.

This one is analog but I added the quote digitally.

This is the second collage for the weep Prompt.

Prompt # 18 is house. As many of you know I love houses so this prompt was fun for me.

I had started this house as a surprise collaboration for Matt French but he died before I sent it to him.

Matt loved making houses too so I finished this one for the prompt.

Prompt # 19 is tied.

Another word might be bond- a relationship between people or groups based on shared feelings, interests, or experiences.
"there was a bond of understanding between them" Not all bonds are healthy The background is a gel plate print on black paper. This is analog.

This is another collage for prompt #19 tied.

The background is another gel plate print with the collage element

glued to it- so this is analog.

Prompt #20 is strong. Both of these are digital- I had fun making these.

The bottom one reminds of of a stage set.

Prompt #21 is dinosaurs. I also made two collages for

this prompt. As you can see in the photo- I printed images out cut them out

and made the collages.  Thank you for taking the time to look at these.

There is one group of seven to go.

The next seven Februllage collages.

Here are the next seven Februllage collages- I will put the title and prompt  and number below each one. I received a comment here in the last post that was from someone anonymous. The comment was hurtful- telling me I should grieving my brother that I have not spoken to in 7 years. Of course I deleted that and will continue to delete their posts. Of course they choose to hide their identity and remain anonymous. This person has no idea what was said by my family members. - it was bad enough that I severed ties with them.

The Februllage challenge was very good for me- things like this challenge keep me learning and creating. There are different things like this out there- some of my friends are doing the 100 day challenge- doing a project of their choosing for 100 days straight. I am busy with several collaborations with artists and I facilitate a collage group here in Albuquerque.  I am also a member of Libros- the large book arts group here in Albuquerque as well.

Prompt 8 was chocolate.
This collage is digital.
Arthur realized that Evelyn's chocolate addiction
needed to be dealt with.

Prompt 9 was Money.
This collage is also digital.
Edward could not be bought.

Prompt 10 was Ghost.
More digital fun.
Ned was having second thoughts about staying at this old hotel.

Prompt 11 was shoes
Another digital one
Three Gents with shoe envy.

Prompt 12 was Photograph.
Another digital ( I did do some analog ones later on)
No title on this one.

Prompt 13 was Celestial
Digital collage
They just realized they had left Jordon behind.

Prompt 14 was Life.
Digital collage on top of a gel plate print.
Where the seeds of memory were planted.
