Folded covers

                                                                    First finished journal

Every since I saw Roxanne Coble's mini journals she made when she posted them on her blog. http://bybun.com/ (You will need to scroll down) I have been trying to figure out how I wanted to do my take on mini journals.  Well I decided to do a Gelli print session.  I printed 2 sides of paper that I used for the covers- these covers are an origami folder or wallet.  For the pages i did one side and I folded a cut the sheet to make an meander book and the 2 ends slip into the cover.  I have completed one and I have folded covers for several more- that would be my usual- make several.  I am going to have a lot of nice art time journaling on these little pages.  The outside dimensions of a closed mini journal is 2 1/2" X 3 1/2 ".

  5. Hi Terry, I love what you have done here, your colour palette is very recognisable as you, soft, Autumnal, colours from nature, gentle and sophisticated, and the prints are beautiful!
I too have been wanting to make some smaller journals after seeing Roxanne's, and now yours also!

  6. Hi Julia- thanks for your kind words. I tend to get really nuts when I love something so I made 7 of these. I have some other things that need tending too but I can't wait to start working in one of these.
