Hard to Take

I am finding it hard to deal with the rapid pace of changes that this hideous administration is pushing through.  I am  still amazed at how selfish people can be and it really does feel like an evil force has grabbed our nation- but the incredible marches on Saturday- and thank you all for your marching-  that was huge and it was around the world.  I( am doing what I can- writing emails, signing petitions, donating to groups on the national level.  And I make art.  I have to-it's how I speak best.

The spread is titled what else but : RESIST!

  3. Thank you for your brave and outstanding art work. I love the art but it is stunning in representing how so many people feel about the Trump administration. I too am devastated but also inspired by the Women's March which my son, daughter, daughter-in-law and two young granddaughters participated in Seattle. I feel the people do have a voice and we must continue to fight. I am trying to work on how to express this in my art. You inspire me!

  4. What a powerful piece, Terry. I'm very alarmed and saddened by what's happening in our country right now.And I agree that we all must do what we can to resist, whatever form that might take.

  7. Hi Terry,
Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. I hear what you are saying to me about becoming consumed by the craziness going on. Yes you are using your art to express your fears, and your protest against what is wrong, but don't forget to use your art to express your beauty and love as well. Give yourself some time out sometimes to go to where you want us all, to go to. It will give you some relief when it all gets too dark. I know it helps me, when I have been down in the quagmire of it all, to do some art that gives me peace, joy, delight, a feeling of love for what is still good in the world. But it is always your choice to do art that speaks for you, and about you and to you, and to others that resonates and is real, which is what you do best:)x
