Another Collage

This is another collage in the transfer series.  The title is Still Running with Scissors.  The transfer background is a photograph of mine of a dollhouse interior.  I constructed that dollhouse many years ago to use as a set for photographing.  I think I want to do some more of that- I will add that to the already long To Do List! We woke this morning to the trees frosted in white wet snow- beautiful but early October is a bit much!

  1. Good morning, Terry, and welcome to blogland! I love "Still Running With Scissors." What kind of transfers to you use in your work? The building at the bottom of this collage looks very much like the old high school (Oakland Tech), where I did my student teaching in 1970, in Oakland, California. I just put a post up on my blog the other day, but had not done so for a couple of months. I'm going to try to set a goal of posting something new at least once a week. Congratulations on this new pursuit, and enjoy the early snow!

  2. Thanks Robert- It's a Polaroid transfer- using the old 669 pull apart film and using a brayer you pull it apart and put it down on the watercolor paper. I haven't done it in ages though- the last time i made a boat-load of them-it's from slides- now there's an old technology for you!

  3. CONGRATS! I'm so happy to see you in blog form, now if I can just remember how to put your blog on my sidebar.....it's been awhile. Wonderful transfer work. Where in the dickens do you get the film?

  4. Thanks Shirley- I have so much to learn yet- well I actually got that film many years ago in Minneapolis and like I mentioned in the first post- I did the transfers years ago and put them away in a box- and found them so it's like buried treasure being found- they are great fun to use as a collage base.
