My friend Brian recently sent me some blank rolodex cards. He has an an old one and many blank cards. The size is a fun one- a bit bigger than an ATC. I had great fun with this- It is fun knowing that these are now in his collection. Leave it to artists to find a great new use for something!

One Owl Watching
The title of the post is the title of this hand cut and pasted collage. The background is from an altered photograph. My partner took a photograph of a shadow on a wall- it's from a wooden bird we had hanging near a window. I played with it and printed out a version I liked and then collaged the rest. There is a sense of mystery in this one for me and I like that.

Not To Scale
This collage started with the piece in the right corner- I had cut out a portrait out of that piece and it ended up on top of the blue painted paper and I loved the look. The rest just came together. I love it when I finish a piece and feel as though it just made itself- taken over by the muse.

Informal
This hand cut and paste collage was a lot of fun. I was given a whole box of old school stuff- flash cards- words games and such so that's where the informal word came from. I pulled that one out of the stack and took off from there. It's fun to try different ways to start a piece.

Change of Plans
Change of Plans is the name of this collage- it's hand cut and pasted. I love looking at floor-plans and house plans. I have collected some old ones and I like using then in pieces. This was part of a series I did around the theme of what home means.
