Last of this Series For Now

This is the last one in this series for now.  I do have lots of other ideas and imagery and may very well revisit this at some point.  I like the Gelli print background and how the upper part is sky like.  The photographic element is from a photograph of mine that I altered.  The title is: Raymond Looked Toward the Future with Hope.  For me this is a good place to end the series for now.  I have had a very challenging fall but things are feeling much better now.
I just finished a large final project for the online collage class I have been taking- it's a collage mailart postcard project- I made 22 of them each one different- I needed 19 for the class but couldn't stop.  I will be posting those next.

    1. What I really like most about this (although I am not sure if this was your intention or not) is that to me the background looks upside down. Sort of like Raymond is looking towards the future with a new perspective. Beautiful work.

    2. Thanks Tom- I assume you are asking is the photographic part being upside down? Believe it or not the photo is the way it was- I was looking up at a ruin. I love what you said though!

  3. Raymond reminds me of Daren Stevens. Which I LOVE! Great composition Terry!

  4. Your color decisions, images, focal along with the narrative is very evocative. The small pedestal holding up the upper platform feels like a small but strong element and indicates to me that there will be support for you in the future. Nice piece. I admire your work and long for my collages to take on an added depth. I am enjoying Randel's workshop. Looking forward to meeting you too in February with all of our pals.
