Works in Progress

These three spreads are the insides of three books I am making. I am taking an interesting class from Roxanne Stout. http://rivergardenstudio.typepad.com/artimpressions/the-thread-that-weaves-an-online-workshop.html  Each of these pieces is 16" long by 6" high.  On a couple of these there will be more pages sewn in and the other side will be collages- when closed this is a 5 1/4" square.  I used Gelli prints for the backgrounds.

I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Every year at this time I do a gratitude list and it is very long.

  1. These are so cool, Terry! Not to be a nerd here, but how can 16" long x 6" high give you a finished book that's 6" square? What am I missing?

  2. Terry, what you have done in her class is so wonderful. I love how your spirit and style shine through and is so totally different than what Roxanne does with hers. Many times students copy but you have taken it and run with it. Maybe when you are finished we will trade one of these for mine. I would love that.

  4. Terry, I love your books and even more that your own spirit has shined through and they are not like mine. They are your story. I really believe that every art piece has a story, even if it is unknown the the viewer and even the artist him/herself. I wish you a beautiful Thanksgiving as well Terry. Thank you for the gift of your art.

    3. And this is one time I don't mind having to stay after school. LOL! I did have to do that a fair amount as I was also drawing instead of doing my school work.
