New Work

Well it has been a busy time and here it is almost October!!!  I have a show at the MacRostie Art Center- a regional art center about an hour from where I live. http://macrostieartcenter.org/
The show will be for the month of November.  It's been a while since I have made work for a large show.  I am happy to report that I am done with the work already- Everything is framed even-  So I will do  some blog posts showing the new work.  The work I am showing today is around 8" x 10".  Framed the pieces are 11" x 14".  The backgrounds of these collages are monoprints I did using acrylic paint.

    1. well of course I have other projects but the main reason I am early cause we are going to New Mexico October 11th so I wanted it done before we leave as I will have to deliver the work in late October. Thank you sweet jacki.

  6. Hey, Terry, these are wonderful! Your incredibly expressive monoprint backgrounds are perfect ennvironments for your imagery. I particularly like the textural elements in the upper background of "Adrift". There is a sense of visual isolation in every piece, here, which becomes even more pronounced in reading each individual title. Congratulations on your upcoming show! Wish I could be there to see it in person! Have a wonderful time in New Mexico!

  7. Fun to see what you're working on, Terry! I love those one-word evocative titles, and the monoprint backgrounds, especially the one in Adrift.

  8. Wow! I have to say I've never known anyone (especially not me) to be ready for a show so far in advance. The work is stellar; I know the show will be too!
