Crazy Guy Collaboration

My friend John Arbuckle  artjuvenation.blogspot.com came up with the idea of this Crazy Guy Collaboration.  We are part of a Gentlemen's ATC group and this project was something new for us.  John describes the details on his blog- (see the link above).  I had so much fun with this.  The squares are separate so we can mix and match.  The squares are three inches so the figures are 9 inches when they are put together.  I scanned mine in many different configurations before mailing them this week.  When the collaboration is complete we will each have 3 of our own and 3 from the other two making for many more possibilities.  These will find their way into my journal for sure!  This reminds me of the Exquisite Corpse game.  This article explains that. http://www.artesmagazine.com/2010/06/surrealist-art-form-exquisite-corpse-still-fascinates-artists-and-collectors/

  1. Oh my goodness...this cracked me up! I love the mix and match part. Reminds me of those children's books that you can turn parts of the pages to change body parts! GREAT JOB GUYS!

    Aloha

  2. These are totally amazingly wondeful, Terry. Just think some of the parts are in the mail to me! Yeah! This was a fun collaboration....a true collaboration I might add. Each one of yours is going to make a wonderful addition to the ones that Brian is making and that I have made. Can't wait to see the posts of the finished collaborations.

I also love the corpse article. Maybe we will have to do that sometime in the future.

  3. Terry, these are sooo fun! Wonderful! I can't wait to receive mine. I just received John's wonderful man. He reminds me of a supermodel. Your's do too. So I am feeling a theme going on here for me. Of coarse I will have some ideas for these guys, that will be a bit different. I am really loving the steampunk glasses on these two!

I did a project like the Exquisite Corpse a couple of years ago. We made it into a book. I love mine.

    1. BTW, blogger never did send me your email address (which you said was your intent), so I've edited my personal intro of March 30 in the class blog to include my email. Cheers!

  9. Thanks SO much, Terry for the laminated Crazy Guys you sent me along with your wonderful artwork. I have been using 'my guys' as bookmarks, so I see them everyday! They are so incredibly cool! And. . .you are so generous, to share. I'm still working on a small piece which should be out to you in the mail, soon!
